HC North State Challenge Girls Basketball Tournament Dec 10-12 JV/Var
Shasta Union High School District schools [Shasta (1400), Foothill(1350), & Enterprise(1200)] challenge three visiting schools from the Sac-Joaquin Section. Each visiting school is ensured three games vs each of the SUHSD schools. (Sac-Joaquin Schools are guaranteed NOT to play each other) This tournament is unique in that it is NOT your traditional one team takes all. The group (3 visiting schools or 3 SUHSD schools) that win the majority of the nine games (best 5 or more of 9 games) played will be declared the winners. Each of the winning group of schools will be awarded a championship plaque (both levels) & dry-fit long-sleeved championship t-shirt (Varsity only). ONLY schools that can send both JV & Varsity may attend as we do not want to have split brackets.
All athletes are housed by SUHSD players. Two hotel rooms are provided for coaches from each school for two nights. Hosted coaches social at the hotel Friday night, hospitality room for coaches during the tournament, round of golf for coaches at a local golf course, bag & polo shirt for all coaches, & participation t-shirt for each of the varsity players.
Entry Fee is $700 per school (2 levels) and teams are guaranteed 3 games.
