We are looking to hire a new varsity girls volleyball head coach here at Venture Academy. Our high school is in a remote location in South Stockton (actually closer to Manteca than downtown Stockton) - situated across the street from the airport right off Hwy. 99 on the San Joaquin County Office of Education campus.

Our previous coach was also the boys varsity volleyball head coach in the spring time, so we would be open to filling both positions with the right person. Both our girls and boys volleyball programs have shown potential over the past couple years and continue to rise with success, as they each qualified for the Section Playoffs for the first time this past year. We are looking for the right person to come in and continue to build the program. One of our biggest assets is the volleyball facility we have to work with at our school. We have one of the top facilities in the area, as our on-campus gymnasium houses 2 full-size, separated and identical gymnasiums under the same roof. This is a fairly new facility that was built 5 years ago and one that is in high-demand by the outside community. One of the perks of coaching here at our school is the access and priority our in-house coaches receive when it comes to using the facility, as well as hosting school and non-school sponsored events (i.e. utilize for other youth programs they might be involved with outside of the school team). Please contact the Athletic Director, Jim Sells at: jsells@sjcoe.net or 515-570-1963.
